William T. Russell, CPA (President and C.E.O.)
Mr. Russell joined TrustCorp in June 1996. He was formerly Chief Financial Officer of Second National Bancorporation where he chaired the company’s investment committee, served as Chief Investment Officer, and served as portfolio manager. Mr. Russell also served as C.F.O. of Boston based Office Oasis, as a Partner of Conquest Capital, and, among many community service activities, as President of his local Kiwanis Club. His experience in the debt and equity markets includes successful participation in two IPO’s, one secondary offering, and several private placements. Previously he was with KPMG Peat Marwick in its Baltimore office.
Michael C. Morgan, JD (Executive Vice President and Chief Trust Officer)
Mr. Morgan joined TrustCorp in November of 1995. He has over 25 years experience in trust and estate planning, most recently as President of QUADS Trust Company. He began his career with Union Trust Company in 1970, and had held management positions with Maryland National Bank, National Bank of Washington, and Signet Bank. He has a B.A. from John Hopkins University, a J.D. from the University of Baltimore, and he is a member of the Maryland and American Bar Association.
Stefan Plesea (Senior Vice President and Director of Trust Operations )
Mr. Plesea joined TrustCorp in July of 1995. Previously he served as operation manager and investment analyst at Burney Investment Services in Virginia. He serves as Chairman of the Romanian American Forum and as a consultant to several Romanian based companies. He is the graduate of several continuing education courses in Taxation, Investments, and Estate Planning and received his B.S. in Finance from George Mason University and The Academy of Economic Studies, Bucharest Romania.
Brent E. Layton(Trust Officer)
Mr. Layton joined TCA TrustCorp America in September, 2006. He has more than 16 years of experience as a Trust Officer with Sentry Trust Company and The Fulton County National Bank and Trust Company. Brent is a graduate of the Central Atlantic School of Trust and received his B.S. in Business Administration and Computer Science from Oral Roberts University. His community activities include past president of the Greencastle Rotary Club and the Fulton County Medical Center Board of Directors. Brent also served as an Officer in the United States Air Force.
Luke Young J.D., CTFA (Trust Officer)
Mr. Young joined TCA TrustCorp America in September of 2012. He was formerly a trust and estate administrator with Burke & Herbert Bank, and also worked as an estate planning attorney in Northern Virginia. Mr. Young is a graduate of Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service, the Pennsylvania State University-Dickinson School of Law, and the Cannon Financial Institute Trust School. He has been recognized for his work to provide historical, patriotic, and educational programs through the Washington, D.C. Scottish Rite and several other service fraternities.”
